Day 1
Day 1 will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm
9:00 am: Driver/Handler meeting
     * All cars under staging cover for safety inspection
     * Introduction and Registration
     * Committee and Novice Trainer Address
10:00 am: Novice School Split
     a: Drivers - Introduction to the flags. Introduction
         to hand signals. Track walk and instruction.
     b: Handlers - Introduction to QMA, Safety
         meeting (on track, hot chute, pit area). Novice
         Training schedule. Race procedure. Flag recognition,
         "The driving line". Parents role in the Novice Program.
11:00 am: Photo Opportunity
      * Strap in and tip tests
12:00 pm: Lunch Break - - -
      * Welcome BBQ, meet & greet
1:00 pm: On track (no car) driver training
      * Flag recognition, Hand signal recognition,
        Running the line. Follow the leader
3:00 pm: End of training (Q&A)
 

Day 3
Day 3 will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm
9:00 am: Driver/Handler meeting
     * Sign-ins
Novice Testing
     * One at a time on track testing
     * Hand Signals and Flag Recognition
     * Driving the line and Hot chute
     * Demonstrate use of safety equipment
     * Demonstrate car features (gas, brake, etc.)
12:00 pm: Lunch Break
1:00 pm: Novice School Split
     a: Drivers - Flag recognition, Hand signal recognition,
         Running the line. Follow the leader,
         Hot chute training, Begin multiple cars on track,
         Race line-up training
      * Passing Game
     b: Handlers - Judging School

Day 2
Day 2 will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm

9:00 am: Driver/Handler meeting
     * All cars under staging cover for safety inspection
     * Sign-ins
10:00 am: Novice School Split
     a: Jr. Drivers - Off track line-up training,
     b: Sr. Drivers - On track driver training
     * Flag recognition. Hand signal recognition,
       Running the line. Follow the leader
     c: Handlers - Judging School
12:00 pm: Lunch Break
1:00 pm: On track driver training
     * Flag recognition. Hand signal recognition,
       Running the line. Follow the leader. Hot chute Training.
3:00 pm: Monitored Open Practice (1 hour)

  Day 4
Day 4 will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm
9:00 am: Driver/Handler meeting
     * Sign-ins
     * On track driver training
     * Flag recognition. Hand signal recognition, Running the line.
     * Hot chute training, Multiple cars on track,Race lineup training.
     * Distraction / Reaction Game
     * Handler Scoring School (Tower)
12:00 pm: Lunch Break
1:00 pm: On track driver training
     * Race Day Simulation - Handlers and drivers will compete as a
        "Normal" race day.
      * Passing Game
3:00 pm: Novice Training Ends
This is a tenative schedule designed around 3 weeks. All efforts will be made to run Novice Training based on this curriculum. I-5 QMC reserves the right to change or alter this schedule based on the number of drivers, weather and track conditions.
  Day 5
Day 5 will be reserved for the I-5 QMC Novice Classic and a Test & Tune session open to all Members - Schedule for this event to be published later.
